Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Family Resource Finder may collect, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors. This page is written for the current version of the site and should be updated if the site later adds advertising, analytics, new vendors or new ways of collecting information.
Information you choose to provide
If you create an account, the site uses your email address for sign-in and account recovery. If you save resources, the site stores which resources are connected to your account. Resource suggestion forms may include an optional name and email. The Contact page collects the information you enter so the site administrator can review and respond to your message.
Information collected automatically
The services that host and operate the site may receive standard technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, request logs, timestamps and security information needed to deliver and protect the website. The current site does not require you to provide sensitive medical records, Social Security numbers, Medicaid identification numbers or other benefit account numbers.
How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts, maintain saved resources, review resource suggestions, respond to contact messages, protect the site from misuse, troubleshoot technical problems and improve the directory.
Service providers
Family Resource Finder currently uses Supabase for database and authentication services and Vercel for website hosting and deployment. Those providers may process technical or account information as necessary to provide their services and are governed by their own privacy terms.
Public versus private submissions
Saved resources and Contact messages are private account or administrator information. Resource suggestions are reviewed privately before publication. If a suggested program is approved, program information such as its name, description, eligibility, phone number and official website may become public. A submitter's personal name or email is not intended to be published with a resource listing.
Children's privacy
The directory is designed for parents, caregivers, professionals and other adults seeking resources for families. Children under 13 should not create accounts or submit personal information through the site. Parents and caregivers should avoid entering a child's private medical, school, benefits or identification information into free-text forms.
Data retention and deletion
Information may be retained while it is needed to operate the service, maintain records, address abuse or security concerns, or comply with applicable obligations. To ask about account or submitted information, use the Contact page.
Advertising and analytics
The current version of the site is not described as using advertising or optional web analytics. If advertising, analytics or additional tracking technologies are added later, this policy should be updated before or when those features are enabled.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes. The effective date at the top of this page should be revised when material changes are made.
